Local Mission Days are set for May 29–31, and we’re inviting everyone to be part of something meaningful! This is our Spring Stay-at-Home, Local, All-Church, Intergenerational Mission Trip. Check out our schedule below. We have multiple projects to choose from. Sign up on the bulletin at the top of the ramp at church!
Wednesday Prep:
Baking Crew: Wednesday, 9am to noon and 1pm to 4pm — Make desserts and snacks for Salvation Army meal, Random Acts of Kindness Team, and for children to deliver to homebound members.
Thursday Projects:
Restoration Rome: Thursday, 9am to noon — power wash a new play area
Random Acts of Kindness Team: Thursday, 9am to noon — deliver desserts and snacks to our community
Northwest Hunger Ministries (Food Pantry): Thursday, 1:30 to 3:30 — sorting and packing food
Salvation Army: Thursday, noon to 4:30pm — prepare dinner for 60 people
Salvation Army: Thursday, 4:30pm to 6:30pm — transport the meal from the church to the Salvation Army and then serve the meal
Friday Projects:
Restoration Rome: Friday, 9am to noon — help children paint a mural in a new play area
Journey Food Pantry: Friday, 1:30pm to 3:30pm — sort donations and stock shelves
Ruth and Naomi House: Friday afternoon — prepare a meal for the women’s shelter
Saturday Projects:
Children’s Mission Project: Saturday, 9am to noon — pot plants and deliver them to home-bound church members
Community Kitchen: Saturday, 9am to noon — pressure wash and clean-up weeks outside their buildings
Hospitality House Thrift Store: Saturday, 10am to noon — sort donations and stock shelves
